MY LAND

This is the story... The story of my land, of our culture, of our customs and of our people. A story of our ancestors that I carry and tell so that it will never be forgotten.
It is a portrait of the many hectares divided and given to couples who lived off the land, practicing subsistence farming. For many, a dream opportunity, but for others, just a new beginning. A transit point for travelers and goods between Lisbon and the Alentejo region, Pegões is today a landmark in the history of Portugal and the Portuguese people.
"My Land" features two dancers who, through dance, will portray how life was lived in those times. This land is mine and ours... It belongs to all those who started, who built, who abandoned, and to all those who remain here today.
